SJM announces new Board of Directors’ members, roles and functions

Macau’s SJM Holdings has recently announced its new Board of Directors and their new roles and functions. The announcement was released in the company’s latest notice to investors, after the group’s annual general meeting. 

According to the notice, Daisy Ho Chiu Fung has been appointed Chairman and Executive Director, followed by Co-Chairmen and Executive Directors Timothy Fok Tsun Ting and Angela Leong On Kei; Executive Directors Dr. Chan Un Chan and David Shum Hong Kuen; Non-Executive Director Patrick Tsang On Yip; and Independent Non-Executive Directors Marina Wong Yu Pok, Howard Yeung Ping Leung and Norman Ho Hau Chong.

Daisy Ho has been announced as the Chairman of the Executive Committee and Nomination Committee, Marina Wong Yu Pok as Chairman of the Remuneration Committee and Norman Ho Hau Chong as the Chairman of the Audit Committee.

Daisy Ho was the Managing Director of SJM Holdings prior to the recent update. During Ho’s interim, the group saw a substantial 77.3% rise in revenue during this year’s Q1 when compared to the year prior, with total net revenue amounting to HK$6.92bn (US$0.89bn). This year also saw the grand opening of Palazzo Versace Macau and plans to refurbish the Grand Lisboa early next year.

In other board news, Boyd Gaming recently welcomed Michael Hartmeier to its Board of Directors. He has had a financial career spanning 25 years.
