The extended deal, which excludes Poland, will see the sports betting service and content supplier continue to package live coverage from the Polish topflight for operators to offer to players globally.

Live streaming coverage for the Ekstraklasa will increase from the 2021/22 season, with the league to grow from 16 to 18 teams, following a period of commercial growth that saw the league pay record revenues to its clubs in 2019/20.

IMG Arena EVP and MD Freddie Longe said: “The Ekstraklasa is an ambitious organisation with an entertaining product. We are delighted to be extending our partnership and to stream a growing number of matches.

“Football is the world’s most popular sports and we are committed to ensuring we have a high quality, diverse portfolio of content to engage fans across the globe.”

Ekstraklasa president and CEO Marcin Animucki added: “IMG ARENA has played a vital role in helping our organisation drive revenue for our members with packaged, engaging content that sustains and builds interest in Ekstraklasa around the world.”

The deal adds to similar partnerships announced by IMG Arena recently.

Last month, the business extended its live streaming rights partnership with the World Snooker Tour (WST), while in July the supplier signed a deal with World Table Tennis (WTT).
