ESPN Bet has unveiled its inaugural retail sportsbook at the Hollywood Casino at Greektown in downtown Detroit. This marks the first ESPN Bet branded location to be opened across Penn Entertainment’s properties.

The new ESPN Bet sportsbook and restaurant occupy approximately 4,500 square feet within the Hollywood Casino at Greektown. The venue features betting kiosks, large-screen TVs, a 30-foot video wall and a menu of bar food and beverages.

John Drake, the GM of Hollywood Casino at Greektown, noted: “This is an exciting week to debut Penn’s first physical ESPN Bet sportsbook as the city of Detroit hosts the NFL Draft and its festivities. Bringing ESPN Bet to Hollywood Greektown combines Penn’s premier sports media and sports betting offerings to create an amazing atmosphere for fans to watch and bet on sports. To celebrate the opening, we’re thrilled to host ESPN talent and programming at our property throughout the week.”

Mike Morrison, ESPN Bet and ESPN Fantasy VP, said: “We’re thrilled to open the first ESPN Bet retail location in Detroit and become part of a community of deeply passionate sports fans. We want fans to come embrace a first-class betting experience and we’re excited to showcase the ESPN Bet brand in a contemporary space.”

During the NFL Draft week, Hollywood Casino at Greektown is hosting various ESPN programming, including podcasts and radio broadcasts. ESPN Bet Live, the daily sports betting show on ESPN2, will broadcast live from the venue.

This unveiling follows ESPN Bet’s expansion into the North Carolina market, coinciding with the state’s legalisation of sports betting. The platform offers various betting options across different sports leagues, along with daily odds boosts and custom offers integrated with ESPN content and personalities. ESPN Bet also provides tools for responsible gaming.
