LAFC thrashed Minnesota 5-1 at BMO Stadium in MLS matchday 36. The team led by Mexican forward Carlos Vela secured their place in the playoffs to move one step closer to this season’s title.

Hat-trick hero Dénis Bouanga was awarded MLS Player of the Matchday after scoring three times in the first half of the game. Minnesota took the lead through Hassani Dotson after just four minutes, however, two minutes later Bouanga found the back of the net to level matters. The home side went on to run out comfortable winners with a convincing victory.
