Boyd Gaming Corporation has announced the appointment of Michael A. Hartmeier to its Board of Directors.

Hartmeier’s career includes highlights such as serving as the group head of lodging, gaming and leisure investment banking for Barclays.

Before his tenure at Barclays, he also held similar leadership roles at Lehman Brothers and Credit Suisse First Boston.

Over the course of his 25-year career, Hartmeier has completed financing and advisory assignments totalling more than $125bn.

His work has also included collaborations with numerous gaming companies – experiences that hope to position him as a valuable addition to Boyd Gaming’s leadership team.

In addition to his new role at Boyd Gaming, Hartmeier is also a member of the Board of Directors for Diamond Rock Hospitality Company, a self-advised real estate investment trust that manages a portfolio of hotels and resorts across the United States.

On top of this, Hartmeier also previously served on the Board of Directors of Full House Resorts (a regional casino operator) adding another layer of relevant experience to his profile.

At the end of last year, Boyd Gaming saw further changes to its leadership team, with several senior executive appointments made as part of a strategic reshuffling.

One of these changes entailed Steve Thompson – who previously served as EVP for Operations in Nevada – stepping into the role of CAO.

Additionally, Ted Bogich was appointed to the role of COO, having previously served as the EVP for Operations in the Midwest & South regions.
