The Rolex Series tournament continues the PGA’s European Tour schedule. Sweden’s Ludvig Åberg leads the field at the start of Day 2.

The PGA’s European Tour moves on to North Berwick, Scotland this weekend for the Genesis Scottish Open. Held at the Renaissance Club, the tournament dates back to 1972 and provides the final opportunity for players to qualify for The Open Championship.
With a place at The Open on the line the stakes are high and the field is tightly-packed ahead of this weekend’s action. At the start of play on Day 2 the projected cut line was set at -3, meaning that a number of well-known players could be heading home at the midway point.
Former world No. 1 Luke Donald was below the cut line at the end of play on Day 1, as was 2017 Open Championship winner Jordan Spieth.

What is the prize purse for the Genesis Scottish Open?
Many of the top stars will have already secured their place at The Open but there’s plenty more on offer in Berwick this weekend. The Scottish Open became a Rolex Series event in 2017 and the prize purse was upped significantly.
